Tobias Ridder

Tobias Ridder

Tobias Ridder is a professional musician and guitar and drum instructor with extensive international experience, based in Dresden and Trieste. His pedagogical approach is based on a perfect balance between academic rigor and an intense concert schedule on stages across half of Europe.

Having officially trained as a professional guitarist and earned the title of Certified Popular Musician at the New Music Academy in Offenbach (2021–2024), Ridder has had a prolific teaching career that began in 2014 with private lessons and continued at leading public institutions in Germany, including the Musikschule Mittelsachsen in Freiberg and the Musikschule Goldenes Lamm e.V. in Dresden. Her method combines empathy, flexibility, and a practical approach based on years of stage experience.

In addition to teaching, Tobias is a leading drummer and session musician: a member since 2012 of the award-winning Mike Seeber Trio (winner of the 2013 German Blues Challenge), he has performed alongside rock and blues legends such as Mitch Ryder on numerous European tours and is a regular member of prominent bands such as Monokel Kraftblues and the Klaus Renft Combo. This deep synergy between the stage and the classroom allows Ridder to impart to his students not only technique, but the true essence of live music-making.
